Honorary Consular Corps Nepal (HCC-N) is an association of all the honorary consular in Nepal which helps in linking the sending and receiving countries in social and economic developments.
The association, having an 18 years of history in Nepal, organized the very first regional conference with the World Federation of Consuls (FICAC) for three days.
The three-day conference with the theme ‘Solidarity for Shared Prosperity’ was officially inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice President Mr. Nanda Bahadur Pun. The grand event was attended by more than 300 participants presided by Dr. Aykut Eken (President of FICAC) along with the FICAC General Secretary and FICAC Board. The three day event included honorary consuls and consul generals from across the world. Apart from dealing with national and multinational issues, various entertainment activities were presented , giving a glimpse of Nepalese heritage, culture, hospitality and touristic importance promoting Nepal.
On the 30th anniversary of ratification of Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC30), UNICEF Nepal organized a friendly cricket match at the Tribhuvan University Ground, Kathmandu and Barhabigha Ground, Janakpur with the objective to promote the values of physical fitness, proper nutrition and choices that positively impacted children’s health.
Former Nepali cricket captain, Mr. Binod Das was present on the T.U cricket ground and played opposing the Cricket legend Mr. Sachin Tendulkar himself.
JST Productions had the pleasure of assisting UNICEF Nepal in production and management of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC30).
The aim was to use sports as an initiative to increase awareness and encourage student engagement in education as well as good health related practices. Furthermore, students at Barabhiga stadium engaged in making drawings, having fun expressing themselves and their creative potential.
The Human Development Report 2019 is the continuation of a series of annual reports published by UNDP, comparing countries based on their education level, health status, per capita income and so on.
This year’s report is the first of a new generation of HDRs which focused on inequality and provided a comprehensive analysis using framework that goes beyond income and averages.
JST Productions managed the Nepal Launch of the Human Development Report – Global Launch 2019 which was launched all over the world. The Nepal Launch was held simultaneously in total of 8 locations encompassing all 7 provinces of the country. The simultaneous launch of the HDR2019 – Nepal in the locations; Biratnagar, Janakpur, Hetauda, Kathmandu, Butwal, Pokhara, Surkhet, and Dhangadi was led by 8 different teams from Jst.
The report was launched by the Hon. Finance Minister Mr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada in the Capital whereas Hon. Chief Ministers from their respective provinces launched the report in the other remaining provinces with an attendance of over 1,000 people.The attendees were various members from federal and provincial governments, policy makers, educationist, academicians and students.
A lively panel discussion was also held during the event focusing on current issues of gender equality, human rights, the state of developmental works, and so on. These discussions helped in bringing the attention of policy makers while the report as a whole also provided recommendations for change for the better.
